The next RIA Safety and Standards Group has a strong line up of authoritative speakers:

  • Andy Hall the Chief Inspector at the Rail Accident Investigation Branch will share the trends he sees and the lessons he takes from recent rail accidents.
  • Stuart Webster-Spriggs of Volker Rail who chairs the cross industry Infrastructure Safety Leadership Group will discuss the work of that group and its current priorities and this is a great opportunity to provide feedback on those priorities.
  • Ali Chegini the RSSB Director of System Safety and Health will discuss the RSSB Annual Health and Safety Report and the updated strategy for ‘Leading Health and Safety on Britain’s Railway’
  • James LeGrice, Head of Rail Safety and Standards, Department for Transport will speak about the forthcoming revision to the National Technical Specification Notices (NTSNs) prompted by the update to the EU Technical Standards for Interoperability. He will also discuss the changes resulting from the Retained EU Legislation (REUL) Act and more generally about the role oDft in Safety and Standards.
