Senior Policy Manager
Damian Testa joined RIA in October 2017. Damian’s role at RIA involves shaping the policy and regulatory environment to support the growth ambitions of members. This involves working with major clients, the regulator and with government to promote and defend the interests of the rail supply sector. Damian also manages research projects to generate the evidence base to support policy; produces responses to a broad range of government and other consultations, and represents RIA at a number of external events.
Prior to RIA, Damian held senior roles in several industry associations, covering the agri food, construction, rural business and geospatial sectors, where he was responsible for trade and regulatory affairs, market access issues, strategic policy, stakeholder engagement, public affairs and economic research.
Damian has also held roles in the public sector focused on economic development and served as a Board Director of the Institute for Economic Development from 2015-16.
