Nick has been Managing Director, Alstom UK & Ireland, since June 2016. Alstom has been at the heart of the UK’s rail industry for over 100 years and provides the smartest range of solutions in the market, from innovative trains, metros and tramways to maintenance, modernisation, infrastructure and signalling solutions. Alstom’s largest investment in the UK for decades was opened by Nick in 2017, the new technology centre in Widnes.

Previously Nick was Managing Director of Train Control for Alstom Transportation in the UK where he had responsibility for the UK signalling operations of both Signalling Solutions Ltd and GE Transportation UK (following Alstom’s acquisition of GE’s global transportation assets in 2015). Prior to working for Alstom, Nick has worked in the UK rail industry having been Managing Director of Invensys Rail/Siemens and spent time in Network Rail in a senior commercial role. Outside of the Rail sector Nick has worked in the European Steel, Chemicals and Power Generation sectors in a variety of senior operational roles.
