19 June 2020 | Commend
Commend, world leader in integrated communication solutions, are pleased to announce a new Temperature and Mask Control Solution aim to help businesses ensure people entering a building comply with the necessary requirements to control the risk of covid-19 infections.
Commend solution offers automated monitoring of building access along with temperature and mask detection. The automation of this process enables the user to react and communicate in a logical and dignified way in the event of irregulates and reduces the need for screening personnel at each entrance.
The Commend Thermoscan kit offers a personal check of the mask requirement and body temperature. The use is self-explanatory; however, the user receives information on the operation from the terminal itself. If a face mask is recognised and the temperature is within the acceptable range, access to the building is granted. The system prompts the user without a face mask to use a face mask by an audio message. If the temperature is too high, a call is made to a desk station where an operator can take control. The operator can see the person concerned on the display of the touch intercom and can speak to them to give instructions or authorise access. The application is GDPR compliant since neither data nor images are saved.

Standalone Terminal or Integration into Existing Solutions
The Thermoscan Unit is available with an aluminium column on a stainless-steel plate or rod holder for mounting on a counter, turnstile or table. Adding two id5 Stations in peer-2-peer mode creates an easy-to-install solution that will make automatic calls. The Thermoscan Unit can also be installed next to an existing Commend door station, and trigger Intercom calls in the existing Intercom System.
