Sopra Steria announces the launch of its online Competency Training Marketplace

29 October 2020 | Sopra Steria

A new digital platform Competency Training MarketplaceTM (CTM) has been launched this week specifically for the rail and construction industries. It connects businesses with the right training providers to keep their teams fully operational, compliant and safe.

CTM allows businesses to reduce risk and monitor their employees’ compliance against more than 15,000 industry accreditations from a wide range of relevant accrediting bodies.

This platform has the potential to revolutionise how businesses manage, forecast and budget workforce training. With CTM, this can now be done at the touch of a button, while also avoiding unnecessary delays and costs to projects caused by workers not having the appropriate accreditations in place.

Using standardised terminology CTM enables accreditors, training providers and organisations to ‘talk the same language’, thus simplifying the compliance process.

For the first time training providers benefit from industry insights into future training demands allowing them to maximise course attendance, better anticipate market demand and drive increased sales.

Adrian Fieldhouse, MD Government, Sopra Steria UK said: “CTM is a game-changer for the industry.

“We know that money and time are wasted every year in the industry because the right skills and safety accreditations aren’t in place to keep workers safe and allow them access to site. In these challenging times we have to work smarter and this is what CTM enables.

“With organisations preparing staff for the ‘new normal’, CTM is ideally placed to help organisations better manage their workforce accreditations and control budgets.”

The festive period works are looming for rail and construction businesses. CTM’s smart tracking ensures that competencies are up-to-date and workers fully operational.

Registration to the platform is now open and Sopra Steria is working with key organisations and experts to drive awareness of CTM across the training and workforce development industry.

Those wishing to register can do so by visiting CTM’s website https://competencytrainingmarketplace.com
