Unlocking Innovation: Whole Systems

Unlocking Innovation: Developing Whole Systems in the Digital Age
10-14 May 2021 | 14:00-16:30 daily

Join us for our next Unlocking Innovation series taking place online daily from 10 May - 14 May. The meetings will start at 14:00 and finish at 16:30 each day.

As part of RIA’s award winning Unlocking Innovation events exploring the Railway of the Future, our event in May 2021 will explore the challenges and opportunities of Developing Whole Systems for the Railway in the Digital Age. The event shall particularly focus on the importance of Systems Engineering and viewing the railway as a complex System of Systems. Our speakers will look at the challenge of defining and developing complex Systems of Systems within the UK railway industry and identify what problems need to be solved in complex environments. We will invite participants to discuss how to ensure that requirements are clearly defined before going to tender and explore how using simulation, modelling and automation to improve the development and delivery of complex systems.
