FROM AIRPORTS AND EUROSTAR
From Heathrow Airport
(1) Heathrow Express to Paddington (15 mins),
then taxi (10-15 mins). Total cost around £25. Fast and comfortable;
good for luggage but may have to queue for a taxi at Paddington.
(2) London Underground Piccadilly
line. Direct from Heathrow to Hyde Park Corner station (45 minutes),
about 3 minutes walk from RIA see map. Not as comfortable
and luggage more difficult. Single fare currently £4.
(3) By taxi direct - £45-£50.
Journey time 45-90 minutes, subject to traffic conditions
From Gatwick Airport - Any train to
Victoria (Gatwick Express single £15; ordinary train £10)
- about 30 minutes. Then 10 minutes walk (see map) or 5 minutes
in a taxi.
From London City Airport - Taxi direct
about £30. Journey time 40-60 minutes. By public transport
(not recommended with luggage) take Docklands Light Railway to Canning
Town station, then by Jubilee Line to Green Park
and change to Piccadilly line to Hyde Park Corner. Alternatively take Docklands Light Railway to Bank, then interchange to Monument Station for District line to Victoria. Total journey
about 45 minutes, cost £4.
From Stansted Airport
Take London-bound Stansted Express train
to Tottenham Hale, then Victoria Line to Victoria (10 minute walk
or 5 minutes in taxi from RIA). Journey time 60 minutes, cost around £20.
From St Pancras International Eurostar Terminal
With luggage, the easiest route is by taxi, journey time 25 30 minutes, fare about £10.
By London Underground: take the Piccadilly Line eastbound to Hyde Park Corner (3 minutes from RIA). Journey time 20 minutes, fare £4.
FROM STATIONS
Euston, Kings Cross, St Pancras -
Victoria line to Victoria and walk; or to Green Park then Piccadilly
line to Hyde Park Corner.
Paddington - Easiest by bus to Hyde
Park Corner (36, 436); otherwise Bakerloo line to Piccadilly Circus,
then Piccadilly line to Hyde Park Corner.
Liverpool Street - Circle line to
Victoria; or Central line to Holborn then Piccadilly line to Hyde
Park Corner.
Fenchurch Street, Blackfriars, Cannon
Street, Charing Cross - District line to Victoria.
Waterloo - Bakerloo line to Piccadilly
Circus (or Jubilee line to Green Park), then Piccadilly line to
Hyde Park Corner.
BY CAR
Please note that Headfort Place can only
be entered from Chapel Street. There is no public parking in Headfort
Place but on-street meter parking is available in Halkin Street
and Belgrave Square. The former garage parking in Montrose Place
is now closed; there are NCP and hotel car parks within 10 minutes
walk (Cadogan Place or off Park Lane). The RIA offices are included in the western extension of the London Congestion Charge area and the congestion charge is payable between 07.00 and 18.00 Monday to Friday..
