Skills and Recruitment

There has been considerable evidence of skills shortages across the UK rail industry and there is concern that these are likely to be exacerbated by continuing growth in the UK rail programme and activity overseas.

RIA has been active in several initiatives addressing these issues. As part of this, we wrer the lead promoter of a National Skills Academy for Railway Engineering, strongly supported by NR, ATOC, TfL, DfT and GoSkills, which is now in operation. For further information visit www.nsare.org
