Record number of entries submitted for RIA’s Rail Industry Supplier Excellence Awards 2023

The Railway Industry Association (RIA), the voice of the rail supply community, has today reported that a record number of entries have been submitted for the Railway Industry Supplier Excellence (RISE) Awards. 

With the deadline closing on Monday 17 April, over 90 submissions from RIA members have been received across a range of 10 categories.  

RIA’s RISE Awards celebrate the excellence and achievements of the UK rail supply community, with the winners announced at the prestigious RIA Dinner & RISE Awards 2023 on 29 June at the Intercontinental Hotel, central London. 

The entries will now be judged by a high-level panel of senior industry figures, including:  

- Robert Ampomah, Chief Technology Officer, Network Rail 
- Dyan Crowther, CEO, HS1 Ltd 
- Gareth Evans, Head of Rail Technology, Network Rail 
- Rachel Fullard, Service Analyst at Rail Delivery Group and EDI Charter Working Group Chair 
- Shamit Gaiger, Managing Director, West Coast Partnership Development 
- Jo Lewington, Chief Environment and Sustainability Officer, Network Rail 
- Klara Ludinova, Innovation Lead – Rail, Innovate UK 
- Toufic Machnouk, Director, Industry Partnership for Digital Railway, Network Rail 
- Justin Moss, Head of Business Development, Electrification at Siemens Mobility, Rail Infrastructure and Chair RIA North 
- Ian Prosser CBE, HM Chief Inspector of Railways and Director of Railway Safety, Office of Rail and Road 
- Wendy Richards, Railways Infrastructure Lead, Department for Business and Trade 
- Fi Westcough, Chair, Young Rail Professionals

“It’s fantastic that a record number of rail suppliers have submitted entries to the RIA RISE Awards. With such a high standard of submissions across the board, we really are excited to showcase the very best of our industry at the awards ceremony at the RIA Dinner & RISE Awards on 29 June.
