8 March 2024

Hitachi have led the way over the past decade in simulation and signaller training with TREsim which has seen many changes and exciting developments in high fidelity simulation, with models that emulate and mimic ‘real-world’ scenarios and providing the trainee with an environment which is controlled exactly as a live railway.

Move on to 2024 and the launch of TREsim Flex – Offering the value of a realistic offline training environment that accurately replicates operational events. This represents a new, flexible application for Signaller training that combines all the advanced features of the established TREsim with a larger variety of signalling controls and Flexible deployment options.

“The UK rail industry is facing many challenges, including the legacy of the pandemic and changed working practices” says Denise Watkins, Head of Sales “Constrained budgets and industrial relations disputes have also put a strain on training resources meaning more cost-effective and accessible training options are needed and we believe that TREsim Flex offers the solution.”

TREsim Flex is universal and will work flexibly – on a tablet, laptop, on the go, or fixed. This ‘off-the-shelf’ approach gives a cost-effective solution that can be used on any railway line for any region, with a realistic offline environment that replicates operational events – and all at one fixed low price.
